Frequently asked questions
Clear answers to the most common questions before you get started.
I’m not sure where to start. What should I do?
Start with the intake form. It takes 2 to 3 minutes and helps Jaclyn understand what you’re looking for.
She will contact you by phone or email to discuss fit, answer questions, and confirm the most suitable next step (in-person or telehealth).
Do I need a referral to book?
No. You can start without a referral.
If you’d like to claim Medicare rebates, you will need a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan and a referral letter from your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available Australia-wide.
If you prefer in-person sessions, appointments are available in North Strathfield.
How do Medicare rebates work?
It’s simple: book your session, and if you want to claim Medicare, ask your GP for a Mental Health Treatment Plan + referral.
Medicare then provides a rebate per session (up to 10 sessions per calendar year). You pay the session fee, then claim the rebate.
Higher rebates may apply if you’ve reached the Medicare Safety Net.
What are your fees and typical out-of-pocket cost?
A standard 50-minute session is $250. The Medicare rebate is $145.25 (with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan + referral), so the estimated out-of-pocket cost is $104.75.
After-hours sessions (after 5pm) are $270 (estimated out-of-pocket $124.75 with the same rebate).

What therapy can look like
We’ll start with where you are now, agree on a direction, and review progress as we go. The pace and approach are tailored to your needs.
First session: understanding your situation
We’ll talk through what’s bringing you in, any relevant background, and what you’d like to change. We’ll also cover practicalities like confidentiality and how sessions usually run.
Set goals and a plan
Together we’ll clarify goals and agree on a plan. This may include evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT-informed skills, schema therapy, or PCIT (where appropriate).
Work on skills and change
Sessions focus on building understanding and practical strategies you can use between appointments. You’ll leave with clear takeaways, not just a conversation.
Review progress and next steps
We’ll check what’s improving, what still feels stuck, and adjust the plan as needed. When you’re ready, we can also discuss spacing sessions out or wrapping up in a supported way.
If you’re unsure where to start, begin with the intake form and Jaclyn will guide you.
